POST ON YOUR DREAMBOARD
This week we’re heading to the east coast of Italy near Ancona, otherwise known as paradise, otherwise known as Sirolo. Sirolo is widely considered to have some of the most beautiful beaches not only in Italy, but the world. The Beach of the Two Sisters (La Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle) is our fave, named after the two enormous rocks that jut out from the water there. It’s only accessible by sea, so the whole stretch has a real desert island vibe. As you float up to it, you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret spot. Pack a picnic, rent a boat, and spend the day asking yourself how in the world your life got this good.
MANGIAMO
Around here spring means one thing — patio time! It’s finally warm enough to soak in some natural Vitamin D, so why not do it in style, sipping a spritz at Angel Roofbar & Dining? Located at the top of Hotel Calimala in Florence, this three-story rooftop was designed by acclaimed architect, Alex Meitlis. Take in the 360 degree views of Florence, a dip in the plunge pool, a walk through their floral garden, or grab a drink at one of their four bars. Munchies are Southern-Meditteranean inspired (we love their sharing platters). They open this week!
WHAT WE’RE LOVING RIGHT NOW
A tradition in Italy during the changing of the seasons is the cambio armadio, a couple of days during which households pack away all of their winter clothes and replace them with spring and summer pieces. It’s also a time when many of us get inspired to do a different kind of wardrobe refresh (one that involves cute boutiques and a credit card). This year we’re eyeing the selection at Emporio Sirenuse in Positano, and thanking the internet gods for online shopping. Got enough outfits? They’ve got a home line too. Run by two Italian women, Carla Sersale and Viola Parrocchetti, since 2013, the Emporio is inspired by Amalfi Coast culture or, in Viola’s words, “a ride on a vespa and a basket of lemons.”
