POST ON YOUR DREAMBOARD

We choose our Italian Fix tour guides very carefully. They are actual friends of ours, people whose taste, sense of humor, warmth and inclusiveness we admire. We have this pic of Gina and Tim on our dreamboard right now, as we get ready to launch our 2022 season. They’ve hosted our June Cinque Terre tour together for years now and embody the Italian Fix philosophy to a tee: that travel should be about truly experiencing the essence of the place you’re visiting, not checking a bunch of sites off a list. Sign up here so that you can get an Italian Fix tour on your dreamboard too — we’re releasing our 2022 dates very soon!

SLEEP HERE

Ok so Chiara Ferragni and Fedez just recently stayed at Villa Franca in Portofino, and their pics made our hearts ache with longing. Those views of the cypress-fringed hills! That expanse of yacht-dotted sea! That Italian-church-style exterior! That POOL! We haven’t dared write the owners for a quote yet — we want to believe for just a little while longer that we might actually be able to afford it — but YOU can. Because this private villa is a rental property where you can actually stay, even if you don’t have Italian friends in high places. Check out their website here (and let us know what they say!).

MANGIAMO

Querceto di Castellina’s Vineyard Dinner Series looks like it’s straight out of a staged magazine spread — in other words, too stunning to actually be a thing you can experience in real life. But you can. And if you’re able, you must. Every summer, this Tuscan estate hosts a series of four-course dinners in their vineyard. Guests enjoy an aperitivo on the winery terrace, and then proceed to a delicious meal under sparkling fairy lights alongside that evening’s other guests. It’s like being invited to the Italian dinner party of your dreams. Follow them on Instagram and check out their website for details on how to snag a spot at the table next time you’re in Italy over the summer.

WHAT WE’RE LOVING RIGHT NOW

You know we love us some Puglia around here. Well, now we have even more reason to fan girl about this beautiful region. One of our team members, Amelia, is a super talented trumpet player (follow her here to get your ears on some of her magic), so when the Notti al Borgo Music Festival came across her radar, she perked up! It runs from July 20th to August 31st in the historical center of Massafra, and showcases jazz bands, opera singers, spoken word poetry set to music, and even a Felliniesque night of eccentricity called Club Figaro. Follow them here, and if you’re in the area, make sure you call ahead to reserve a seat (3881228788).
