Sicily is where Italians love to vacation.
Sicilian style is relaxed and welcoming — meals al fresco, cocktails under the lemon trees, Mediterranean views poolside, soaking in thermal waters at the spa, market shopping, swimming in the bay, wandering through Baroque cities. If Sicily has been on your mind, we’d like to invite you to travel on one of two dates in 2019: May 20th to 30th and October 12th to 22nd.
Choose the one that works best, and just show up. We have everything planned for you.
A 10-night experience on the Italian island of Sicily.
Featuring must-see highlights: ancient cities, volcanic islands and small towns.
Great small hotels, with a small group.

See/eat/have the stuff you’d never find alone.
No stress. Just show up and we’ll take care of you. Airport transfers included.
Only 2 dates in 2019.
May 20 – May 30
October 12 – October 22
You’ll sleep in Palermo > the Aeolian Islands > Syracuse > Taormina
Sicily is the most exotic location in Italy.
Sicily is where picky locals and Europeans holiday. After hearing about it from her Italian friends, Italian Fix founder Bianca knew she had to go.
Getting to know Italy with the help of deep personal contacts is essential to having an amazing Italian experience.
Why would you visit Italy alone?
Travel with us and tap into The Italian Fix Factor.
We Speak Italian
Which means you’ll never struggle with directions or the menu, or with anything! Don’t let not knowing the language keep you from a true Italian experience.
We have decades of experience living, working and traveling Italy, which means we know what it takes to have a good time here. Now you will too.
We’ve got your back. We protect our people, serve our people and love our people. You travel with a unicorn-powered forcefield of fierce love around you. Nobody effs with fierce love.
In Italy, connections are everything. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. We’ve nurtured amazing relationships with locals over the years — you’ll meet them because we’re friends. You’ll also get top-notch food, service and smiles because you’re with us.
We have roots and homes in Italy. We leverage family and personal networks to deliver you value and safety.
You’re not a reservation number — you’re an honored guest and you can count on us. We’ve built this business from nothing to sold-out-in-hours tours because we truly care about people.
The Friend Factor
Ever dreamt about jet-setting with a stylish well-traveled friend who knows the best food, cocktails and shopping in a drop-dead gorgeous place? A friend who’s positive, uplifting and makes you laugh but who’s also super grounded and drama-free? Now you can.
You know what sucks rocks? Subpar food, lackluster service and treating tourists like dollar signs. There are tons of tourist traps in Italy and you need to know how to avoid rip-offs (on hotels, meals, taxis and events). We don’t touch dud businesses with a ten-foot pole.
Best of Both
We really “get” you. We know what you want to see, do and experience in Italy because we were travelers here once too. But now we get the nuances and navigate like locals. This unique perspective gives you a “best of both worlds” experience.
This is a vacation… with benefits.
Right now, if eating Ben & Jerry’s in bed is the highlight of your week, then listen up ‘cause ten days absorbing the sheer beauty of Sicily might be your escape.
Renewed inspiration and fulfillment.
Connecting to inspiration fuels a happy, healthy lifestyle. The most successful people in the world constantly pursue inspiration and purpose. Feeling inspired infuses your life with joy and meaning. Those who seek inspiration find it.
Live your dreams, right now.
Too many people save travel for retirement, but traveling requires good health, which you likely possess right now. If you have dreams, don’t put them on hold for some distant future that might never come. When you look back at your life in five years, what do you want to see? Ambitions reached or dreams put out to pasture?
Increased health and energy.
Immerse yourself in an exotic and safe Sicilian experience. Every day you’ll eat a Mediterranean diet full of fresh vegetables and local seafood or meat. We’ll also be walking daily, surrounded by nature and swimming in the ocean.
Be taken care of.
Are you blessed with a full life? Got work? Deadlines? Chores? Kids? To do lists comin’ out the wazoo? Do you feel like you’re always “giving” but have very little time for yourself? We thought so, and we get it. What if, just for a change, someone were to take care of you? Well, that’s our job. We want you to kick back and leave the planning to us. Because you need time to think about more important things: like if you’re gonna drink a third cappuccino at breakfast.
Connect to a more carefree version of yourself.
When did we all get so busy? And tired? In a work-obsessed culture, busy is glorified, and financial wealth is superior to emotional or spiritual wealth. But this trip is about putting inner wealth and health first. Who doesn’t need more time to connect with the person you’re meant to be?
- Day 1
Arrive in Palermo and we’ll pick you up from the airport and whisk you away to a grand hotel. It’s smack dab in the historical center, on a pedestrian street and close to everything. We’ll gather for a sunset aperitivo before eating a Sicilian feast. This cozy table among new friends has your name on it. Sleep: Palermo
- Day 2
Today we’ll depart Palermo and head to the glorious Aeolian Islands, one of 54 Unesco World Heritage Sites in Italy. The volcanic “Isole Eolie” off the coast of Sicily are the stuff of myths and movies, named after the demigod of the winds, Aeolus. Our base is Salina Island for three nights — enchanting, relaxing and tiny. Only in-the-know people come to this particular island. Our hotel has a gorgeous pool, spa and hammam and the breakfast view from the veranda is the sea and a smoking volcano. It’s in a lazy one-street town near a fab beach. Sleep: Salina Island
- Day 3
Lounge poolside with a book and a cappuccino. Or go to the spa and treat yourself to a massage or the almond-milk bath in a copper tub (soaking in Sicilian almonds ground into fresh milk feels very Cleopatra — you could get used to this!). Whatever you do, take in every last drop of this gorgeous place. After lunch we’ll cruise the island on our private boat and you’ll have nothing to do except watch life go by, in your bathing suit, as you eat granita (try the pistachio!). At this point on your trip, you may start contemplating never going home (completely normal). Sunset watching is best from Pollara so we’ll drop the anchor and eat spaghetti aboard. You’re officially in the Dolce Zone, and it feels sooo good! Sleep: Salina Island
- Day 4
The most important decisions to make today are these: should I walk down to beach or just stay at the pool? And should I have just one granita, or three? You’ll have time to ponder these questions before an afternoon trip to visit the villages that dot this tiny island. Our private driver will take us to do some shopping in the main town after which we’ll head to the location where the film Il Postino was shot. Sleep: Salina Island
- Day 5
You may have sworn by now that you’ll never leave the Islands but today you must, because we have more gems in Sicily to show you. We’re heading to Ortigia, the most ancient part of the city of Syracuse (interestingly, Ortigia is a small island but it doesn’t feel that way because it’s connected by bridges). We’ll stay right inside the historical city center, and you’ll experience another one of Italy’s Unesco World Heritage sites for three nights. It’s a compact town-within-a-town, and our hotel is located in a pedestrian area where you can access the harbor, pretty shops, cafes and grand piazzas on foot. Sleep: Syracuse
- Day 6
Today you’ll have a lovely free day of exploring the markets and shops of one of Italy’s most beautiful towns. Our guide will host a historical walking tour of the most important monuments and landmarks in this city ruled by everyone from the Byzantines, Bourbons, and Arabs to the Normans and Aragonese, or you can just get busy catching up on your beauty rest or shopping. We’ll gather for dinner together at our fave restaurant and enjoy a traditional Sicilian menu. Sleep: Syracuse
- Day 7
Today we’ll take in some of the smaller surrounding villages in the area, with a chance to spend some time in the countryside having a relaxed lunch al fresco. Because your guide is Sicilian, and you’re traveling with Italian Fix, we’ll share some under-the-radar places you’ll need insider knowledge to access. In Sicily it’s not what you know, it’s who you know, and having someone who speaks Sicilian to guide you is priceless. Sleep: Syracuse
- Day 8
Today we depart Syracuse and head to Taormina, a town teetering on a cliff overlooking the Ionian sea. We’ll get you oriented with a walking tour of Taormina’s highlights — you won’t want to waste a moment getting to know the incredible location you’ll be living in for the next three nights. Taormina is unique and divided into two sections: the historical town center and the seaside. The main town is carved into the cliffs above the sea (that’s where we stay). Down below, there are beaches for swimming and seaside villas lined along winding streets. There’s a funicular/gondola that will bring you from the town to the water, so you can have it all. Taormina is the most picturesque and requested location in Sicily. People come here for the ancient Greek theater, and the mountains and sea. We’ll experience all of that. And the tiramisu. Sleep: Taormina
- Day 9
Roadtrip! We’re in a gorgeous area of Sicily, right between Mount Etna and the sea. Today we’ll explore some of the surrounding villages of the area with our private driver. The area you’re staying in is full of small coastal and hidden mountain-top villages known for a few things: the filming of the Godfather movies, an active volcano (Etna) and a rural way of life. Our selection of stops are designed to share the type of lifestyle that attracts people to Italy in the first place: the pace, the food and the people. A day of exploring these fascinating, uniquely Sicilian villages is something many visitors here miss, because without drivers, local guides, the language, and insider knowledge, this area can be difficult to navigate. Sleep: Taormina
- Day 10
This is our last day in Italy together so let’s make it splendida. Which of course we will. You’ll have some free time to pick up your last treasures and squeeze them into your luggage. At night we’ll gather to clink glasses for a special celebratory meal in our fave Taormina restaurant. Sleep: Taormina
- Day 11
This is departure and check-out day. We’ll bring you to Catania airport for your flight or if you’re staying in Sicily longer, we’ll drop you off at your hotel. Whatever your plans, we’ll get you where you need to go. Check-out

One hub for all your Italy trip needs.
There are plenty of tour groups of fifty people traveling around Europe in a big bus.
We’ve limited our Sicily tour to 14 women. We want you to feel like you’re traveling with friends, not a sports team.
This is group travel for people who don’t normally go on tours. We want you to travel Italy beautifully, so we keep our numbers low. We know small group travel is a great balance of fun and ease, and it’s better than traveling alone. The reality is that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill group travel experience — it’s personalized service from a caring team.
Here are the perks of traveling in our bubble:
- 1It’s so much more fun than traveling alone.
- 2It’s easier than traveling with a spouse or friend because we handle all the planning.
- 3You cultivate new friends and worldwide connections.
- 4 You have the luxury of drivers and guides helping you with everything.
- 5 When you go on a trip, do you normally hire experts for day trips who know the locals and have the lowdown on what exactly to see/do/eat while you’re there?
The truth is, we have a special knack for attracting positive, generous and amazing women from around the globe to join us in Italy. Our guests always comment that they’re not normally group travel people, but they’re surprised how Italian Fix makes travel easy and fun. Which is why we’re limiting guests to 14 on this Sicily tour.
Is this trip right for you?
Have you already been to Italy?
Sweet… so you know how amazing it is. But think of how amazing it could be when you travel with someone who knows the language, knows the locals and knows all the secret spots. Unless you’ve traveled with an Italian friend and stayed at her home, it’s almost impossible to not feel like a tourist in Italy. We offer an alternative to that.
Will this be your first trip to Italy?
Then you’ll love the safety of the group, the ease of having all your hotels, transportation, activities and meals sorted out for you. You’ll love that you won’t have to worry about getting lost, getting ripped off, hassling with foreign currency, or trying to communicate in Italian. We take care of everything.
This trip isn’t for everyone.
It IS for you if:
- You gravitate towards insider knowledge — you value traveling with someone who knows the ropes.
- You enjoy eating, walking, and off-the-beaten-path ideas. You like holidays near the sea but also enjoy the city.
- You love to have a great time and are open to meeting others.
This trip is NOT for you if:
- You’re extremely rigid in your habits, or you want things to be like they are at home. If that’s the case, Sicily (or anywhere in Italy) is not the place for you because the Italian lifestyle can be very different from what you’re used to. (If you’re open to new experiences, our bilingual guides will translate the quirkier aspects of Italian life for you.)
- You don’t like Italian food. That is what we’ll be eating. Every day. If you’re a vegetarian, or on a restricted diet (like no wheat), we have yummy options for you.
- You are looking for a luxury travel experience, with 5-star accommodations and white glove service. We are not that company, and while we choose our hotels very carefully for their character, location and Italian charm, if you see yourself being disappointed by a 3- or 4-star establishment (that doesn’t have 24-hour reception or room service), then this tour is not for you.
