June 28 – July 6, 2026.
Join us on a 8-night journey where we’ll explore the towns along Lake Como, and the mountain villages of the Dolomites.
Let us take care of all of the details so you can immerse yourself in the beauty, culture and energy of two wildly different landscapes of Northern Italy.
You’ll have connections the minute you step off the plane.
For people who want fun, easy, insider travel — elevated.
We mix iconic places you know, with places you’ve never heard of. Travel with insiders who know the language, the culture and how to travel in this area. Not only do they handle all the details — they handle them in a way that gets you access to things you otherwise wouldn’t.
Your guide and driver collects you from Milan, and within an hour you’ll be on the shimmering shores of Como. This trip gives you variety; you’ll also see Switzerland and the glorious landscapes of the Italian Dolomites — see them before everyone else discovers them, too.
The Dolomites are well known to Italians and European insiders but are under the radar for most others.
Once under rule of the Austrian empire, you’ll see another side of Italy. The majority of locals speak German at home, so you’ll experience diversity in cultures and food. We spend a great balance between towns and tiny villages on this trip.
Your vacation unfolds seamlessly because you have bilingual, professional Italian Fix guides, engaging activities, and a perfect balance of active and relaxing moments that we’re known for.
At Italian Fix, we blend Italy’s iconic destinations (like Lake Como) with hidden gems you’ve likely never heard of. Our signature “second cities” strategy is why so many people choose to travel with us. We carefully mix well-known locations with lesser-known ones because we understand that 70% of Italy’s foreign tourism is funneled into just 1% of the country. We want our guests to see it all, both the iconic sites and the secondary ones, that capture the spirit of vita lenta (the slow life). To protect the locations, we intentionally leave these unknown villages off our itineraries. But if you’re curious, just send us a message as we’re happy to share.
Your driver will collect you in Milan and whisk you north to Lake Como. We’ll make a quick stop in the town of Como before arriving at our tranquil home base: a liberty-era mansion converted into a boutique hotel right on the lake. You’ll feel worlds away from the crowds in this peaceful village. After settling in, we’ll take a short walk into town before gathering for our first dinner together at a traditional trattoria. Sleep: Bellano (Lake Como)
Today is all about soaking up the beauty of Lake Como. We’ll hop on the ferry and cruise past some of the lake’s most iconic towns, stopping in postcard-perfect Varenna for a cappuccino. We’ll visit the main square then continue to Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi for a stroll through their gardens. Next, it’s off to Bellagio, where you’ll have free time to wander the winding lanes, shop (the Como-made silk scarves are a typical souvenir). We’ll have casual drinks and a meal at the hotel so we can get a good night's rest before tomorrow's adventure. Sleep: Bellano (Lake Como)
We cross the border into Switzerland today for a ride on the legendary train, the Bernina Express. This Unesco-listed train journey has been running since 1908 and is the highest railway in Europe, reaching 7,392 feet (2,253 meters). You'll travel past glaciers and meadows as you slice through the Swiss Alps, as the route links the stylish town of St. Moritz with Tirano, Italy. After free time in St. Moritz to explore and grab lunch, we return by train back to Italy. Tonight we’re back to Lake Como so you can have some free time. Sleep: Bellano (Lake Como)
Today we leave the lake behind and head to the town of Brixen (called Bressanone in Italian). Over 75% of locals speak German and you’ll feel more like you’re in Austria than Italy. You’ll check into a grand hotel. Once a stop on the medieval trading routes, Brixen is where Italians and Europeans come to relax, eat well, and soak up the alpine atmosphere. It’s at a 1,840 feet (560 meters) elevation with great weather in early July; cool evenings of 59°F (15°C) and highs of 81°F (27°C) with long days of sunshine. After settling into our hotel right in the center, we’ll have a walking tour together. Sleep: Brixen/Bressanone (Dolomites)
The morning is yours to do whatever you please. There is a beautiful spa at the hotel. We’re right in the main village so you can walk and wander anywhere as it’s very safe and easy. This is a typical Tyrolean small town along a river and the tidy pastel buildings and pretty sidewalks are perfect for exploring and shopping and everything is accessible on foot. In the afternoon, we’ll head out together to explore the surrounding countryside with our driver. Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner at a traditional alpine inn that’s been serving hearty Tyrolean cuisine for generations. Sleep: Brixen/Bressanone (Dolomites)
Today we set out to explore some of the villages nestled in the valleys around Brixen. Each has its own unique energy, shaped by centuries of mountain life and the region’s dual cultural identity. Your guide will share stories from the region’s history, and you’ll have the chance to stop for photos, shopping and a leisurely lunch. Return to Brixen and enjoy some free time. Sleep: Brixen/Bressanone (Dolomites)
We continue our journey through the mountains. Jenesien (called San Genesio in Italian) is a village 20 minutes north of Bolzano, 3608 feet (1100 meters) above sea level. Settle into your new mountain home and take the rest of the day to unwind — this part of the tour officially kicks off the “R&R” part of our trip. We have no daily planned itinerary for Day 7 & 8 but your guide is happy to support you if you want plans. The spa and the beauty of the natural refuge in the Dolomites invites you to gear down. There is a gorgeous sky pool with views over the mountains. There are multiple saunas with various heats and purposes, a steam room, and relaxation areas. We’re specifically coming to this hotel because of their wellness areas and unique atmosphere of a South Tyrolean escape where Europeans come to chill out. Dinner is served each night at the hotel’s dining room and we eat together as a group. Sleep: Jenesien/San Genesio (Dolomites)
Today is your day to rest and rejuvenate in the forest spa of the hotel or take a swim in the sky pool. Not a spa creature? The Monzoccolo/Tschögglberg is one of the sunniest hiking regions in South Tyrol. There are chestnut, spruce and larch trees along the hiking trails, which form a network of over 500 miles (800 kilometres). You can also take the 8-minute cable car ride from Jenesian into Bolzano. However you choose to spend the day, you’ll end it feeling deeply restored by the fresh air and the beauty of the forests. Decide on the spot if you'd like to do a lot or a little today as it’s truly a place to unwind and recalibrate. Tonight we’ll eat together as a group in the hotel dining room for our final celebration meal. Sleep: Jenesien/San Genesio (Dolomites)
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the mountains and return to Milan by private transfer, arriving in central Milan by 1pm. We’ll drop you at your hotel of your choice, or at the train station if you have onward plans to visit other parts of Italy. If you have a flight today, only book evening departures. Please see the calendar for other tours you can combine with this tour.

I’m thrilled to introduce our brand new tour, debuting in 2026!
This trip offers diverse landscapes by combining iconic Lake Como with the Dolomites, covering two opposite realities in one trip. We’re traveling in July, which is the perfect time to be in the mountains with the best weather and longest daylight hours.
When you depart the grand villas of Lake Como with your private driver, you’ll soon be in storybook villages that look more Austrian than Italian. Since we promise you variety, we’re also taking the legendary Bernina Express through the Swiss Alps (because some things are worth the hype). I love that a day trip to Switzerland delivers you the full alpine experience, without breaking a sweat (we will be breaking the foil on the champagne, though).
To deliver you the ultimate Dolomites treatment, you’ll stay in two hotels. One is in the center of the oldest town in South Tyrol. The other is just twenty minutes away from civilization, in the trees, a modern spa hotel. I wanted the last two days of this tour to be a retreat. Plan to hide out at the spa because “chill out” is the only thing on the agenda. By the end, you’ll feel deeply restored.
With pickup and drop-off in Milan, it’s a logistics dream with excellent connections to other European and international airports. Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, London — all direct flights as cheap as chips and a nice stop before or after your trip.
Come get some rare air in the Alps — who’s in?
With love + champagne,
Italian Fix was founded
Of guests have left us a 10/10 review post-trip (2023)
Of guests love our customer service
We have so many returning guests because they know they can trust us.
Return guests sometimes book the exact same trip to repeat the magic.
Our guests protect their investment by purchasing insurance.
Some of our guests are going through big life transitions; others are celebrating milestones.
Many guests meet lifelong friends on the trip and they return on future trips, together.
Milan is a great city with a ton of flight connections and you can arrive early or stay a couple days after the trip. On the first day of the trip we’ll collect you from your city center hotel (or the train station) and bring you to Lake Como with our private driver before lunch. On the final day, we’ll travel from the Dolomites back down to Milan, arriving at 1pm. You can get a dropoff at any city center hotel or the train station. Airport transfers (there are 3 airports that serve Milan) are extra and we can arrange them.
You can buy insurance, or use the insurance you already own (through work coverage etc.) Insurance protects you should you fall ill before you travel, or an immediate family member does and you do not want to leave the country. Policies vary and you can shop around.
We’re a boutique travel company focused on unique itineraries that focus on the lifestyle of the areas we visit. We’re intentional about sustainable travel experiences that support local economies. Although we love the finer things in life (we even train our hosts with some of the same service tenets as the Ritz Carlton), we want to do things differently.
We want our trips to be more open to a diverse set of travelers than a typical luxury tour operator that only serves the 1%. We like to think of our experiences as a beautiful balance of activities and cadence that lets you savor your vacation — we do mix things up but we do not run you off your feet.
We might offer a stunning multi-course meal with wine pairings at an award-winning restaurant one evening, and the next day, we’ll eat a panino at the market. Because we know you’re not traveling to Europe for a Disneyland-esque experience. You’re here to experience the lifestyle, which has nothing to do with thread count (although we do love that crisply ironed European bedding).
We offer our guests a beautifully layered and nuanced experience that uplifts and gets you into the heart of the places you’re traveling.
Transformative experiences, connections, belonging, and belly laughter are the ultimate luxuries.
We have a combination of solo travelers, people traveling with friends, and people traveling with partners/spouses on all of our tours. We also have a mix of “co-ed” and “women only” dates across our schedule so you can pick the right trip for you.
First off, we speak the language! We also understand the context, the customs, and the community of every location we visit. In Italy, it’s not what you know — it’s who you know. And we know people.
We’re a small company that serves under 150 people per year. You can read more about us here. By comparison, most tour operators are massive — some serve about 30,000 people a year! That’s not who we are — we’re female-owned and getting to know each of our travelers by name is super important! We truly want to get to know you.
Coming with us is like having a backstage pass. If you travel without us, you’re just one in a million foreigners waiting in lines and trying to get service. No connections or language fluency makes you the odd one out.
Our travel style allows you to be among friends and have access to things you couldn’t find on your own. No big-box concept of tourism around here. At Italian Fix, we’re mindful about keeping traditions alive and supporting local economies.
One of the most beautiful things about our trips is that they attract a lot of different kinds of people — and we’re proud of that. Our fun, safe, and let-your-hair-down energy draws the right kind of guests from around the world with different backgrounds — because wanting to live your dolce vita is something that transcends any zip code or age range.
We have guests who return to Italian Fix year after year. From the person who enjoys traveling solo to the besties who want to take one more trip of a lifetime, they all want to live the Italian lifestyle in a carefree, fun-filled, and relaxing week. They trust Italian Fix to confidently handle all the details so the only thing they’re responsible for is embracing the art of living — Italian style.
Our carefully crafted itineraries have been perfected over years of hosting successful trips, so they play out like a symphony — with cadence, timing, and rhythm. All of our trips have up-time and down-time. The introverts who need quiet to recharge can get it, and the extroverts who derive energy from new connections can thrive too. One of our mottos is “Hey, it’s your holiday — opt out of any days you like.” We have lots to see, eat, do, and explore whenever you wish to join in. Just put on your comfy shoes and andiamo!
Many of our guests are in the same boat. We have people who are going through life changes and more traveling is calling them. You’ll fit right in (and life is better with people who get you and you could potentially travel with in the future!).
